I recently worked with a client who needed to rework her system for handling incoming and outgoing paperwork and mail.
It was important for her that the desk accessories that she used looked nice so that she could enjoy using her office space.
Do you have a dedicated location in your office for stationery? I'm talking pens, notebooks, extra staples, blank CDs, envelopes.. Anything that's blank or a refill or consumable on or around your desk.
Over the weekend my wonderful partner finished building my brand new office in our new home. It makes it so much easier and more pleasant to get work done in a space that looks and feels good and of course is functional. I still have some decorating to do, but in the meantime, here are some tips that help us create a space that I love working in.
This is about clearing the distracting clutter from your workspace so you can focus. And we'll also start setting up homes for your incoming paperwork and tasks. This way you can find it when you need it and you know exactly what needs to happen with it.
This may not seem like an obvious time saver but trust me, this is the foundation that all the other steps will build on.
